Assessors, moderators, verifiers will all have secure log in and passwords unique to them which enables them to access their learners e-portfolios.
The e-portfolio is structured in a similar way to paper based portfolios and methods of assessment do not change. However the format of evidence offers greater opportunity and ability to access at any time via the web brings about greater flexibility.
The e-portfolio shows the evidence submitted and learner progress usually in a matrix format. The assessor simply clicks on the evidence submitted and this will open as a separate document. After carrying out the assessment based on the evidence, the assessor either submits for review or accepts as complete.
The learner receives an automatic alert from the assessor and the progress is updated.
